Mistfell

Mistfell begins in the mountains. I'm Lucy — I live in Xingyi, in the karst highlands of Guizhou, southwest China, where cone-shaped peaks rise out of the mist and the ground still holds marine fossils from around 240 million years ago. It's a place rich in stone and craft, and it's where Mistfell started.

Mistfell brings the work of Chinese makers to people around the world. This shop is our handcraft side — pieces you can wear, each handmade by a named maker, one of a kind or made in small numbers.

We begin with crystal and natural-stone bracelets, each designed by a young woman on our team here in Xingyi and credited to her by name — the current collection is by Wu Yunhua. Her designs blend a woman's eye for color with the craft heritage of our Buyi and Miao home, where pattern, color and adornment have been handed down for generations.

Each bracelet is strung by hand, so natural stones vary a little from one to the next — the mark of the real thing. As we grow, we'll add more handmade things here, and more makers.
