🍓Hi, I’m Georgia - the creator of Peachfaces. I sew everything from my living room here in sunny Bournemouth, UK.
The shop name Peachfaces actually comes from my old gamer username. My sister and I used to battle it out over who got to play as Princess Peach on Mario Kart DS - and I always tried to claim her first! The name stuck, and it felt right to carry a bit of that fun nostalgia into my business name.
I learned to sew at 12, thanks to my mum. I’d always imagined going into fashion design, but life took me in a different direction and I became a nurse. I didn’t touch a sewing machine for over 15 years, until one day my mum came across my grandma’s old machine and she offered it to me. Turns out sewing is like riding a bike - you never forget how to do it (with a little help from Youtube). I picked it back up, and made myself a bag and a Kindle sleeve - mostly because I couldn’t find anything I liked in the shops. Turns out, I still really enjoy sewing and after some encouragement from friends and family, I decided to open my Etsy store.
Each item is handmade by me and can be customised to suit you - whether it's for a specific device, your favourite colours, or a gift. I love creating something that's just right for each individual.
