Creating Something Meaningful by Hand
I'm Lisa, a knitwear designer, pattern creator, and lifelong crafter who has been knitting since the age of nine. What began as a childhood fascination with yarn and stitches grew into a career designing knitwear, patterns, and handmade collections enjoyed by makers around the world.
To this day, I still find myself studying sweaters in historic films, admiring stitch patterns on strangers, and mentally recreating designs wherever I go. Some may call it an obsession. I simply see it as a lifelong love of the craft.
Stocking & Stem was inspired by two things that have always brought me joy: flowers and holiday traditions. Every Christmas, I look forward to seeing the hand-knit stocking my mother made for me as a child. Decades later, it still reminds me of the love, care, and memories woven into every stitch. That same feeling inspired my growing collection designs that celebrate the beauty of nature and meaningful handmade gifts.
As makers, we understand the special satisfaction that comes from creating something with our own hands. Whether you're making a project for yourself or creating a gift for someone you love, every stitch becomes part of the story.
My patterns range from beginner-friendly projects to more advanced designs and include detailed instructions, charts, schematics, and tutorials to help guide you along the way. My goal is to make each project as enjoyable to create as it is to use, display, wear, or gift.
