Creating a colourful life.
Hi! 💕 My name is Gillian.
Thank you for your interest in me and my creative outlet and small business!
A bit about ME:
I am a single mom of 2 young adults, and I live in the Southern Gulf Islands off the west coast of Canada; settler on unceeded traditional land of the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples. I've been creating colourful things for people with beads and fibres for over 30 years; it has always brought me joy to play with colour and pattern, as well as provided much needed mental health benefits (I have ADHD). It really lights me up when I can help make someone laugh, feel inspired, or maybe even like a more vibrant version of themselves.
A bit about MY BIZ:
In early 2020 I decided to pivot my thriving beaded jewellery business to include kits and free tutorials… because… well, I knew we needed them! :) It is my experience (and studies have shown) that hand crafts have mental and physical health benefits. Often you will hear crafters say it feels meditative when they are creating; it requires us to slow down and be in the now. Crafting is also known to be a natural anti-depressant and stimulates dopamine production.
We all have rough moments and chapters in our lives, and I truly believe that having a creative outlet that involves a physical and mental connection helps us better navigate those chapters.
Through a variety of kits you can learn some of the basic bead weaving stitches, allowing you to grow your skills through colourful projects you can wear and/or share. These kits are created for beginner to intermediate level crafters, which make for great gifts or projects to do with friends.
As my business has grown I have added supplies including curated bead packs, findings packs, and creativity packs for those who have graduated into creating their own designs. You can find information about upcoming supplies releases on my Instagram.

MAY is Mental Health Awareness month in Canada; expect a sale/special to encourage you to get crafty.
Every DECEMBER I run a donate-to-win fundraiser to raise money for a local non-profit that supports those displaced due to domestic abuse.
