Het begon allemaal met een simpele constatering: onze telefoons gaan overal met ons mee, maar ze zien er allemaal precies hetzelfde uit. Het zijn onmisbare hulpmiddelen, maar ze voelen zelden persoonlijk aan.

Op een avond, tijdens een wandeling langs de kust, raapte ik een prachtig getekende schelp op. Ik verwonderde me erover hoe de natuur haar eigen verbluffende, duurzame 'omhulsels' creëert om de inhoud te beschermen – elk exemplaar is volkomen uniek, heeft een bijzondere textuur en een eigen karakter. Toen bedacht ik: waarom zou onze alledaagse technologie geen omhulsel hebben dat net zo expressief en uniek is?

Dat was de vonk die leidde tot de creatie van The Printed Shell.

We wilden geen massaal geproduceerde, saaie plastic hoesjes maken. We wilden draagbare kunst creëren voor je apparaat. Elk hoesje dat we printen is ontworpen om van je meest gebruikte object een verlengstuk van je persoonlijke stijl te maken.
