MATERIALS: What is poly lumber?
• Poly lumber is made from 100% recycled plastic, such as used plastic milk jugs, detergent jugs, water jugs, juice bottles, etc.
• All the plastic waste created from making our bird feeders and birdhouses are baled and sent back to the recycling center.
• Using poly lumber saves the trees
• Prevents tons of used plastic materials from going into landfills
• Comes in a variety of colors
• Durable in harsh weather
• Easy to maintain
• Since poly lumber is all plastic, there is no need to apply any sealer or harsh chemicals to maintain it. Simply rinse with soap and water to clean.

NOTE 3: HOW TALL DO I WANT THE POST TO BE?
- You will need at least 7' post if you are not using the planter.
- If using a planter, you will need a 4’ post or a 6’ post.


NOMINAL AND ACTUAL SIZE OF THE POST
When you're buying treated wood post, the sizes listed on the pieces are called nominal sizes. This is the size the wood was cut to originally. But, before it's sold, the wood is dried and smoothed, which changes its actual measurements. This means that the wood’s actual measurements are now different from the nominal measurements. So, the numbers you see might not match the real size.
