DESCRIPTION
Arletty socks are small textured socks with a pretty band of colored garlands that run all around the ankle.
The model takes up the codes of the Arletty shawl that I created in 2017: the Andalusian point, the two-tone garland in elongated stitches and the fisherman's ribs.
I suggest you knit them in a gradient yarn (yarn A) and a contrasting yarn (yarn B) for the garland pattern.
A feminine pair of socks with a fancy guinguette look.
Difficulty level: 2/5
CONSTRUCTION
Arletty socks are knitted from the toes up.
We start with the toes with a Turkish assembly. Andalusian stitch covers the underside of the foot, while the underside of the foot is knitted in stockinette st.
I suggest knitting a reinforced heel with a gusset and a heel piece.
Next, the two-tone daisy stitch adorns the ankle.
The rib edge is first knitted in 1x1 rib, followed by a reverse in fisherman's rib.
