Highlights
This cute little feathered owl brooch with spectacles has a gold tone body with faux emerald eyes encircled by 6 clear rhinestones. He measures 1.5 inches long and 1 inch across, and is in very good condition, signed Jeanne.
"Jeanne" was founded by NY jeweler Mark Dottenheim in 1919 to 1960. His classic and whimsical brooches, earrings, and pendants have very interesting well executed designs. As most costume jewelry designers of the time, he made his decorations from jewelry alloy which he gold plated, enameled, and decorated with rhinestones and artificial pearls.
