Can earrings be returned?

Due to the hygiene reasons, earrings or any other piercing jewellery will not be accepted as a return.

What returns are accepted?

You may return an item (providing return complies with shop policies) for any reason within 30 days of purchase. Upon receiving return I shall issue a refund for the item price (excluding any postage costs) except in the case of defective items where full amount including my postage costs will be refunded. Buyer is responsible for return postage costs.

What should I do if my order arrives late?

Please bear in mind that delays due to issues within the postal service are out of my control and therefore not my responsibility, if your order is intended as a gift or for a date specific occasion I urge you to order with plenty of time in advance to allow for unforeseen delays. I am but one person who is totally reliant on Royal Mail to fulfil the delivery of all orders, I am not Amazon, I don't have staff or drivers, it's just me I'm afraid and whilst I strive to ensure all orders are dispatched promptly once your order has been posted we are both reliant on a third party to do their job efficiently. If you have any concerns regarding arrival times please contact me prior to ordering.

Will my late order be refunded?

I am not responsible for late orders although I am happy to accept returns for unused items (excluding earrings) to be returned, the customer is responsible for returns postage costs and my postage costs may be deducted from refund amount at my discretion.

All my items are made with care and each item is subjected to a reasonable stress test prior to dispatch to ensure that it withstands normal wear and tear. However I do not make high value items and occasionally items may break or tarnish. I do expect my items to last a reasonable amount of time considering their low price and if your item should break within one month of purchase please contact me. I will require photographic proof of the broken item and I may request the item be returned at my expense for examination before a refund is issued. Unfortunately there has been a spate of claims against Etsy shops that are false so I will require visual proof.

Custom and personalised orders

Any items that have arrived damaged will be required to have photographic proof and possibly returned for inspection (at my expense) before any refunds will be issued. I am a very small business and therefore have no insurance to cover such events, I will have to make a claim with the carrier for loss and/or damage and will require your support in providing proof of such damage.

What if I cancel or reject your order?

Occasionally I may cancel or reject your order. I reserve the right to cancel any order at my discretion, if I feel uncomfortable with a request or feel it is inappropriate then I reserve the right to cancel your order without any prejudice and a full refund will be processed immediately if any payment has already been received. Due to the new GPSR regulations I will be forced to cancel and refund all orders to Northern Ireland. This is because Etsy will not consider Northern Ireland as being part of the EU and I am unable to remove it from my delivery destinations. I apologise wholeheartedly for the disappointment and inconvenience.

Forced returns and undelivered items.

In the case of a forced return (where the customer has returned an item without contacting me first) or if the item is returned by the postal carrier due to being not deliverable (such as incorrect address, recipient being away from their address, recipient not claiming their item etc) refunds will be at my discretion. If I decide to accept the return and issue a refund, any postage charge paid by me will be deducted from the total monies refunded. This is due to the fact that I have already paid for and used your postage label in good faith, I am unable to recoup this charge and I am not liable for any mistakes made by the customer.

Please note that, as this is compromised in part or all of non precious metals, tarnish may occur with time.

It is important that your piece is stored out of direct sunlight and in an appropriate bag or box.

I strongly urge the regular polishing of your piece to keep tarnish at bay with a jewellery polishing cloth and avoid showering, swimming or bathing in your piece. Also be careful of cosmetics, ointments, creams and lotions etc which may exacerbate tarnish formation.
