It is not necessary to have a 3d printer, as there are a lot of printing companies in every country now, for example: Materialize (i.materialise.com), Shapeways (www.shapeways.com), Sculpteo (www.sculpteo.com).
To open stl files you need any 3d program which supports this file format like Rhinoceros, Blender or others. For printing you can use either 3d printer printing with wax like Solidscape or the one printing with polymer resin like SLA or DLP printers with high resolution. All printers have their own software for placing supports.

You get personal license for making jewelry for personal use. Please, contact us if you need a commercial license (double price, up to 100 physical end products for sale or made to order).
