The Latin phrase memento mori literally means, "Remember that you must die''. This stoic quote it's an artistic and symbolic reminder of the inevitability of death. Perfect inspirationall dark academia and light academia room decor.

The Epicureans, one of the biggest philosophical schools of the Hellenistic period, also used the skull as a symbol of death. The message meant by this was, "Enjoy as long as you live."
