The Royal Ontario Museum in the largest museum in Canada with more than 6,000,000 items and 40 galleries. The Deconstructivist façade named the 'crystal' was design by Daniel Libeskind in the museum most recent expansion. The existing building that the façade was added to, was built in 1933 and is Neo- Romanesque in style. This new expansion and the existing building are extremely different in styles. To some this is amazing and shows the work of two different periods, to others, the new added expansion hindered the design on the original building. Where do you side? Me personally, I love the juxtaposing styles working together!
