Hand Dyed Ombre Blue Cotton Quilting Fabric, fat quarter or half yard

Ombre gradient in medium to light values of a blue which does not lean either green or purple, and does not end very dark. Clear bright blue moves from light to darker across a half yard. The mottled texture is great for skies or water in landscape quilts. The blended colors and high texture make it suitable for multiple quilting projects, from realistic to abstract, traditional piecing to applique or art quilting. Fabric has a thread count of approximately 76-78 and is suitable for hand embroidery as well as machine quilting. Fabric is fusible ready.

Photo 1 shows a half yard 1 view. In the drop down menu, these are half yards A-G. Photo 2 shows a fat quarter view. Photo 3 shows half yard 2, with ombre stripes going across the short side of the fabric, creating wider bands of each value. In the drop down menu these are half yards H-L. Each piece is unique, but this is the range of color you can expect.

Fabric specifications:
Preshrunk.
Fat quarter is approximately 18 x 21 inches
Half yard is approximately 36 x 21 inches, with the length running down the selvage.
Fabric is 100% cotton, similar to batik weight

Each piece of fabric has been dyed with my own recipe of Procion MX dyes, and washed according to the manufacturer's instructions. After multiple hot washes to remove the excess dye, fabric is steam ironed on white muslin to check for color fastness under normal piecing or fusing conditions. Cold wash recommended. Use of a color catcher is advised if using a hot wash.

Fabric is ready to ship, but if ordered with other items, it will ship when everything is ready.
