10k yellow gold easy wire solder - 2 inches Cadmium free. My picture shows white solder but this is yellow wire. You can hammer flatten it and cut it into chips.

The gold is from a small, clean shop where he reclaims it from post consumer recycle. It uses no cyanide and no poisons flow into the earth. It is earth friendly and guilt free. 😍

My cutting varies pretty widely, but I get about 50 pieces from this. I do flatten the wire before cutting it. (If you cut it to 1mm x 1/2mm pallions, you should get about 100 pieces.)

A little tip: When I cut this... or any gold sheet or wire solder into tiny pallions/bits, I rub a plastic bag gently on a wool scarf/sweater, then put both my hands, the cutters and the gold into the bag to cut it. The static from the scarf rub will help keep the gold sticking to the side of the bag until you are finished. (and a little while past finished 😟- so you'll have to pick some of it out. )
