I really enjoyed this pattern. The only issue I have is that she doesn't list the amount of yarn it takes. I want a big blanket, so I am using "Dishie" by Knitpicks, three cones, which is about 2100 yards. Because the base is so long, I began my blanket with base row double crochet (and then did another row of DC so it would be even like the rest of the blanket. I especially like the use of extended single crochet in this pattern. It's a stitch I am not familiar with and it's very pretty! I'll have to use it again.
