Large anodized aluminum blank dog tags, perfect for jewelry embellishments, making belts, etc. You can stamp them, engrave them - let your imagination take over! Because they're made of aluminum, they are lightweight and won't corrode, tarnish or rust over time. Cleaning them is simple, by using a mild soap and water solution, rinsing and drying with a cloth.

These aluminum discs, tags, or scales are economical. They are made by punching layers of anodized aluminum sheet at one time and the sides are not anodized and may have some burrs. These tags may also have some marks and scratches as well, but they are a great price. There may be some dust and oil residue left from this process, so a quick cleaning may be necessary before incorporating these into your work.

For tags that may need a light deburring: gently scrape the edge of the tag on unfinished ceramic/tile or you can use an emery board as well. Go lightly and slowly and do not scrape the anodized (colored) part with the abrasive surface, such as an unfinished ceramic tile, emery board, or fine metal file.

This listing is for 12 large anodized aluminum tags. The tags are anodized on both sides.

Aluminum tags, discs, washers, and scales are free of lead, nickel, mercury, and cadmium. Colors may vary from lot to lot. We recommend when working on a large project to purchase all tags needed to complete your project at the same time to keep the consistent coloring throughout. For tags, discs, washers, and scales that have less blemishes, please look for the PREMIUM listing(s).

NOTE: Newer batches of shiny tags will not have blue plastic covering. Shiny silver tags have marks from the manufacturing process which can be buffed with a soft & moist cloth and have been priced accordingly.
NOTE 2: Silver IMPERFECT batch has some minor scuff marks and may have some light oxidation in this batch. They are still great for practicing and/or texturizing and incorporating into projects. They have been priced accordingly.
