Highlights
The great egret a beautiful large wading bird known to be as large as 37- 41 inches. An awkward looking bird yet so graceful and beautiful. In the late 1800's it's filamentous feathers were used in ladies hats and their plumes brought the highest price as much as $32.00 an ounce by the year 1900. Bird lovers prevailed and the practice stopped. This panel has a tropical feel and when the sun hits it from behind the water glass looks like real water the effect was very hard to capture in photos the second photo was an attempt to capture it.
This panel measures 19 1/2 inches long and 16 1/2 inches wide. It has a steel chain attached for hanging and it has zinc came surrounding the outer edges with hooks attached at the top. The panel has beige swirl for the sand,blue water glass for the water,root beer brown swirl for the shore line,peacock blue for the sky, white swirl for the body,black opal,orange opal yellow opal for the legs and beak and yellow cathedral for the eye,green swirl for the tropical
leaves. The panel is an original I drew the pattern and made the panel from that drawing(ooak). The panel also has bevels surrounding the edge.
