Highlights
This PDF pattern is for a quilted baby swaddle wrap with Velcro closures on the flaps. The pattern is tiled to print on either A4 or letter sized paper.
Make it with a layer of batting for a cozy and snug wrap, or omit the batting layer for a lightweight wrap. You can use your favorite quilting cotton or soft flannel.
Optional decorative binding. (I do not include specific directions for attaching the binding. There are many excellent tutorials available for free online that explain the process).
Has darts at the neckline for a contoured fit, and darts at the bottom for a roomy toe box, giving baby some room to kick.
Can be machine or hand quilted - choose your own design.
Completed wrap measures 21.5 inches long by 11.5 inches wide.
The construction of the swaddle wrap leaves no raw edges - no serger required.

Materials Needed:
-1 yard (44” width) of cotton or flannel fabric for the outside of the swaddler
-1 yard (44” width) of cotton or flannel fabric for the lining
-1 yard of low-loft batting (optional)
-2-3/4 yards of double-fold bias binding (optional)
-1-1/2” or 2” wide Velcro (7 inches in length)
-Coordinating thread
-Sewing machine
-Hand sewing needle
-Turning tool
-Iron
-Pins
-Marking device
-Scissors
