Organic Vegetable Spaghetti Winter Squash is the perfect squash for those that need a pasta replacement. Ready in just 80 days, Spaghetti Squash stores exceptionally well, and if it doesn’t have any holes will store for months. Recommended by USU, this squash variety can get huge and should be harvested at 8-10 inches.
Plant organic Vegetable Spaghetti Squash directly in the ground when the threat of frost has passed. Give this squash room to grow--- it gets huge. Give each plane 2-4 feet of space. Squash will be a pale yellow, have a thick rind, and grow three to four pounds. Do not let the fruit get wet and rot.
The best use for organic spaghetti squash is to use it as a pasta substitute. Cut the squash in half length-wise. Scoop out seeds and other pulp. Poke holes in the remaining flesh, drizzle with oil, and roast in the oven. When the squash is done roasting, you should use a fork and shred the flesh. It will appear to be like pasta. Top with your favorite pasta sauce.
