►ABOUT THE STONE:
Lazurite is the ingredient responsible for producing the gem’s most prized color, bright royal blue. Worldwide, Lapis is mined in several areas. The traditional source of the finest Lapis Lazuli is the same today as it was thousands of years ago—the mountains of Afghanistan. Lapis is a deep blue semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense color. Energy workers believe that Lapis Lazuli is one of the most powerful gemstones in the mineral kingdom, with its gold and white specks and veins from calcite and pyrite that are considered good luck stones. Lapis Lazuli is considered the alternative birthstone for the month of September, together with Sapphires. Lapis Lazuli is considered to be the stone for the seventh and ninth wedding anniversaries.
►ABOUT THE CRAFTSMANSHIP:
NEW! I use traditional, time-honored lapidary techniques to drill into the stones in order to sink the cufflink hardware deep into the stone's surface, so your cufflinks will not come apart. This time-consuming process is done in addition to the adhesive and resin layers that attach the stones to the metal cufflink hardware. Most crafters skip this most important drilling (and resin) step.

►ABOUT THE MAKER:
Each pair of cufflinks is unique and one of a kind, and made by hand by printmaker, metalworking artist and Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. I work between my home base in Detroit, MI and a mobile RV studio Arizona, where I source all our stone, crystal, shell and fossil there and at the Tucson and Quartzsite AZ gem shows. All are intuitively sourced in person, from only the most reputable individual suppliers.
