The interior dimensions are 3" by 3" at the bottom, increasing to 5-1/2" wide in the middle. The 1-1/8" hole is ideal for most backyard nesting birds. The exterior dimensions are 8-1/2" high, 8" wide, and 5" deep. The base includes drainage holes and is easily removed for a spring cleaning. This version comes with a zinc plated eyehook making for quick and easy hanging.

It was hard to choose so I purchased two with different colors. Very sturdy and will last a long time. Looking ahead for my next Chalet purchase but looking for pink (roof & door), white box and black perch to support breast cancer. The bluebirds already are trying to use it.
