These sensational Red Earrings have a black line pattern on them that gives them an abstract look. The earring finding have a triangular shape and look modernish to me. Then I used these adorable Victorian glass headpins to connect the pieces together. The glass top of the headpins have a star etched into them.

Enamels are 1" square and are 1¾" long.

The Hook earring findings are sterling silver and are held together with a Victorian Headpin.


The Process:
In order to make this piece, I first take copper pendants and soften the edges, shape the metal and then clean it up. I use powder enamel that is then fired in a 1400 degree Kiln until the surfaces are smooth and completely covered. Then I use images that I've made or collected over the years and make my own decals (like a water slide kids tattoo), that I fire on to the enamel surface. This makes the image permanently bonded to the enamel. This is a long and complicated process and I hope this will help you to appreciate how special these enamels are.
