Mini Felted Wool Pebble Playmat: Open Ended Play, Small World Play (11cm)

Mini 10-12cm diameter felted wool pebble mats for open ended creative play. All the colours of Nature's palette for maximum versatility, with coordinating coloured felted "pebbles" hand sewn around the edge.

A toy that is truly open ended, one that is so simple yet versatile that it can become anything a child's mind can dream up! Children need such props in their play, that can be repurposed for so many uses.

Our children use these as cakes, pies, pizzas and pancakes, flying saucers, cave or tree bases, ponds, islands, flower beds, bee nectar stores, stepping stones, animal nests, pillows, blankets and even helipads!

We use these little pebble mats all the time in our small world and pretend play. Custom hand felted for us from pure 100% merino wool by our expert Nepalese felting partners, they are thick, sturdy, soft and flexible.

A child's imagination only needs simple props to take wing, they don't need hundreds of different detailed replica toys.
