This is a detailed pattern description of how to create a cute crochet Budgerigar just like the one in the pictures.
These slides show you how to create a bird of your own.
Skill level: advanced beginner
Materials to create a crochet Budgeriga bird that is 0.6 inches (15 mm) tall and 1 inch (25 mm) long from head to tail.
+ Crochet hook size 0.6 mm/steel hook
+ White, black, cyan, and green embroidery floss in 1 ply, 2 plies, 4 plies, and 10 plies.
+ Embroidery needle – size 10
+ Black microbeads – 0.10 - 0.15 mm in diameter.
If you can’t find eye beads this size, then you can make sew black little dots for the eyes.
+ PVA Glue
+ Acrylic black paint
Types of stitches you need to know:
Ch = chain
St = stitch
Sc = single crochet
Inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
Sk = skip
Sl st = slip stitch
(...) repeat the instructions in the brackets the given number of times
[...] = total number of stitches.

So cute. There were a few spots that were a tad bit confusing but overall simple to follow. I found the crochet part pretty simple. The time consuming bit was the sewing. Granted I'm not great at sewing : )
