These are AIR DRIED, never heated, to preserve their nutrients, etc.. Our Pine Needle tea is picked fresh and dried over a period of a few weeks. Air dried pine needles are NOT bright green like fresh, but retain their medicinal and nutrient qualities much better than when heated and dried quickly. Please expect a combination of browned and green needles. If you are looking for FRESH, green needles, see our other listings :)

Pine Needle Tea is high in compounds with known medicinal properties like Suramin, Shikimic Acid, and Vitamin C.

Store these in a cool, dry place for up to a year. Silica packet included - DO NOT EAT, and leave in bag to help absorb any moisture that sneaks it's way in :)

Pine Needle Tea Recipe:
Pour boiling water over about 2 Tbps of Chopped pine needles using a tea bag, or strain afterwards. Steep for 5-10 minutes (or longer for maximum nutrient extraction). Pine Needle Tea is also Excellent as an Iced Tea - Very light and refreshing flavor.

So fresh! And plenty to last me for a while. I did end up using scissors to trim the pine needles in 3rds, just makes it easier to brew and releases a bit more of the compounds in the needles. Careful, they are called pine needles for a reason - very sharp! But taste is light and refreshing. I have noticed positive effects with my autistic traits. Feel a bit more grounded on days I have this tea. Will be buying again.
