Based in Montreal, Atelier Carmin takes its inspiration from different artistic spheres to create elegant, unique and timeless jewelry.
Jean-Baptiste, its creator, uses traditional woodworking techniques such as geometric marquetry, the use of exotic woods, and the insertion of brass to give a unique character to his creations.
Each piece of jewelry is made with the greatest care, in a handcrafted way and in small quantities.

> Each of our jewelry pieces is unique!
As we use natural wood veneer or stained rye straw in our creations, each piece of jewelry has slight differences in color and variations.
It is therefore possible that the jewel you will receive is not perfectly identical to the one in the picture.
Also, raw brass tends to oxidize and to change color over time.
You can choose to let this oxidation give another character to your jewel, or simply revive it with cloths or products provided for this purpose.
> Care instructions
We take great care in the finishing of each of our jewels.
Here are some tips to keep your jewelry clean and beautiful longer.
- Do not spray perfume directly on the jewel.
- Avoid direct and prolonged contact with the skin, perspiration, during sports for example.
- Do not store the jewelry in a very humid environment such as the bathroom.
- Do not leave the jewel very close to a source of direct heat.
- Avoid forcing the rings, joints and clasps.
> Cleaning instructions
- Clean fingerprints or grease with a soft cloth.
- Do not use detergent or cleaning products to clean your jewelry.
- All wooden parts are finished with a colorless microcrystalline wax. If you wish to revive the color or luster of the wood, use a small amount of neutral wax and rub gently with a soft cloth.
- To revive the raw brass parts that oxidize over time, we recommend using polishing cloths designed for this purpose (e.g. Sunshine polishing cloth) or using a small amount of bicarbonate toothpaste which is also a wonderful cleaner!
Here are the steps:
1. Pour a small amount of toothpaste on a soft cloth and apply to the brass parts, being careful not to get any on the wood parts.
2. Rub gently
3. Gently wipe off excess toothpaste with a damp cloth.
4. Dry and polish the brass with a microfiber cloth.
