These beautiful milky white grade AAA opals have been handwoven into nickel free, tarnish resistant silver plated pendant and earrings. The Opals are natural in colour and have slightly different flecks throughout the gemstones making each bead unique.

The pendant and earrings may be bought separately or as a set, please choose from the dropdown menu above. If bought as a set they will be presented in one sturdy box as shown in the photos - if bought separately they will be supplied in an individual pillow box.

Measuring approximately 22mm high and 11mm wide the pendant comes with an 18inch silver plated snake chain while the earrings measure approximately 20mm in height and 10mm wide and are on silver plated earring wires.

Each jewellery piece will differ slightly due to the natural colourings of the gemstones and the handwoven element; I will do my utmost to match similar colourations for earrings and complete sets. All the silver plated components are nickel free or safe.

In ancient folklore Opals were regarded as being the luckiest and most magical of all the gems; so much so that Roman Caesars gifted opals to their wives as a token of good fortune, hope and purity. The ancient Greeks believed opals came from the tears of Zeus - God of lightning - after winning a battle against the Titans. While during the medieval ages, fair haired women from Germany and Scandinavia wore opals to protect their hair from losing its colour. Throughout Europe Opals were a symbol of hope, purity, and truth.

This elegant and minimalistic jewellery adds an enchanting feature to any outfit and as Opals are the birthstone of people born in the month of October it would make a perfect gift for anyone born in that month or indeed for anyone who loves the wonderful calming tone of these gorgeous gemstones.

These earrings are lovely and I do like them. I did think as an opal it would have fire colours within the stone though, but it hasn’t and was just a little disappointed with that. I am definitely keeping them though, as they’re beautifully crafted
