When do you consider an item lost in the mail and issue a refund or send a replacement?

For domestic shipments, items are considered lost in the mail after 2 weeks have passed from the ship date. For shipments to Canada, the wait is 3 weeks. However, in each situation, I will take a look at the specific circumstances and make a determination before taking next steps.

What is your exchange policy?

As of 12/15/2025, we no longer accept returns or exchanges. If you purchased prior to that date, items that qualify for exchange require that you notify me within 3 days of delivery that you wish to make the exchange and then you must return the item within 14 days of delivery. Please handle all items with care and return them in the same condition as when they were received. Items that are not returned in like new condition (i.e. the item has been cut, washed, used or altered or has a smoke odor) are not eligible for refund, exchange or store credit and the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Customers are responsible for return shipping of the original purchase as well as the shipping for items they are receiving in exchange.

What do I do if I have a problem with my order?

If you have any issues with your order, please message me as soon as possible so that we can discuss the problem and come up with a solution. Can a pattern be returned or exchanged?

Due to copyright laws and to protect the rights of pattern designers, patterns may not be returned or exchanged.

I ordered this fabric before, but the color looks a little different this time. Is something wrong with my order?

Not at all — this is a normal part of how fabric is produced. Fabrics are dyed in batches called dye lots, and each dye lot can have small, natural variations in shade. Even when the formula is the same, differences in temperature, humidity, and timing during the dyeing process can create subtle shifts in color. Because of this, two cuts of the “same” fabric may not match perfectly if they come from different dye lots. For that reason, dye‑lot differences aren’t eligible for refunds or exchanges. If you need your pieces to match as closely as possible for a project, feel free to reach out before ordering and I’ll be happy to see if I have an available sample I can send.
