This listing is for two cuttings of Brazilian Red Cloak, approx. 9 inches long. Shipped with most or all leaves removed. Shipped with no soil. Cutting has no roots. Grown without pesticides, it is cut fresh after receiving the order. Shipping to the USA is included. It typically reaches about 6′ to 8′ feet tall while it can reach 15′ feet in its native habitat. The spread is often equal to the height.

The stems produce broad, dark green leaves measuring up to 12″ inches long with pink midribs.

It’s an evergreen plant, so the leaves remain all year.
The plant blooms in the fall or early winter. It features showy red bracts hiding small white flowers.

While it mostly blooms in the fall or winter, it may also occasionally bloom throughout the year when grown in ideal conditions.

Plant in a partly shaded location with morning or late afternoon sun only. Keep moist but use rich, well-draining soil as it won't tolerate waterlogged soil. It is happiest in partly sunny or partly shaded locations. I have mine in a bright location but without direct sun and it's doing well. This may differ in your location. I'm in zone 10b, the sun here is very strong.
Full sun will burn the leaves or make them pale green. Young plants may not bloom the first year. Winter hardy in zones 10 to 11.
