We've always loved the book nook concept, except for the fact that they all seem to be fantasy-themed... until now! We bring you a science fiction-themed book nook bookshelf decoration. Inspired by the classic spaceship interior that helped to change sci-fi movies forever.

This book nook sits on your shelf between your books, creating a miniature world you can enjoy daily! A light inside the space at the top of the book nook lights the corridor and the red lights on the front panel. The frosted translucent ceiling is perfect for filtering the light and creating an authentic lighting experience. The door at the rear sits slightly ajar, you can leave the space behind it empty, or have something behind it "peeking" through. The corridor curves out of sight inviting one to wonder where it might lead. It is approximately 7" tall, 6.8" deep and 3.8" wide. It is the perfect size to display an action figure or two (action figure in photo is not included).

This book nook has a bright LED powered by a battery pack. (Two AA batteries not included). The switch is conveniently located just behind the top of the front panel so it can easily be turned on or off without moving anything! If left on 24 hours a day, will start to dim within a week or so. So it's better to only turn it on when you're able to enjoy it. We have updated the design so that the light fixture is removable and the lighting components can be replaced if ever necessary.

The interior pieces of this book nook were custom CAD designed and are 3D printed in-house by us! So we are the only place in the world you'll find this unique item. The sides contain no paint or glue that could mess up your adjacent books. The interior parts are 3D printed and hand painted where needed. Dozens and dozens of hours went into the design and testing of the sci-fi book nook. Making each one requires approximately 22 hours of 3D printing and a lot of time finishing, painting, wiring and assembling. We do all of that! It'll be ready to go when you get it.

Very minor cosmetic details may differ from the pictures as we continually improve the production process.

We print with PLA plastic, which is even approved by the FDA to be safe for food contact use. It is also an environmentally friendly bioplastic which is made largely of the same stuff found in cornstarch!
