A gourmet, properly calculated mix of over 40 seeds, grains, vegetables, herbs, and insects intended for Mongolian gerbils. In addition, this food contains Mazuri Hamster and Gerbil pellets to serve as a stable source of micronutrients.
**NOTE** Since Science Selective has continued their line of gerbil pellets, we have switched to Kaytee Field and Forest gerbil pellets. The pictures do not yet reflect this.
The "Young" version is intended for gerbils under 8-12 months old; the "Adult" version is for gerbils over 8-12 months old.
100g options are also available in my shop if you would like a trial package >>>

NOTE: These foods are intended to be complete base mixes. However, in addition to these mixes, dried herbs and fresh vegetables should be given on a regular basis. I sell my own herb mixes (linked below), but there are other options like Rosewood Nature's Salad that could also work.

These foods should not be fed to pregnant gerbils as they contain parsley, which is said to induce labor. If you have a pregnant gerbil and want to feed her one of my mixes, please let me know and I can rework the mix to not include parsley.

Feeding Guidelines:
Feed each gerbil 5g (about 1 tablespoon) of food every 1-2 days. So, for example, if you have a pair of gerbils, serve 10g (about 2 tablespoons) every 1-2 days. If your gerbil(s) become picky eaters, do not give more food until the refused food is gone. If you would like me to create a custom mix without the refused food, don’t hesitate to contact me and we can work something out.
Transition:
Contrary to popular belief, there is no need to transition your gerbil(s) to a new mix. They are highly-adapted scavengers that are used to quick changes in diet.
For reference, one gerbil will eat about 100-300g every month.
