Julian Opie is a British known for his portraits and animated walking figures, rendered with minimal detail in black line drawing.
White cotton shirt with woman's portrait in black.
Opie’s portraits usually have button eyes, two dots as a nose, a long upper line and shorter lower line as a mouth and two brushstrokes as eyebrows. He differentiates them by using backgrounds, hairstyles, position of head, light reflected in the eyes, accessories etc. Opie takes his inspiration from the Tintin cartoons by Herge.
