**Iron-on backing is considered a temporary solution, especially if the item will be washed or dried frequently. That said, I use the strongest patch adhesive available and have personally tested it through multiple washes with no issues.

For a permanent hold, I highly recommend sewing the patch onto your garment, bag, or other item.

**Warning: if you have already ironed on the patch, the glue will make it a little more difficult to sew through. Please use a strong needle if you plan to sew on after ironing.

**If you only iron the patch on and then put the item in the wash, the adhesive may loosen as a result of machine washing. This is the case with ALL iron on patches, not just mine.

**If it is something you’ll be washing often, I HIGHLY recommend sewing it on for a permanent attachment.**
