These simple hand forged hooks are designed and made by me in my one man blacksmith shop, from solid steel using traditional process to create a one of a kind functional art piece. This simple double coat and hat hook is made to last, and is extremely strong and virtually unbreakable, completely hand made and completely unique.
(Due to high demand it may take me between two to four weeks to get these finished up and shipped out, if you need them sooner let me know and we can make arrangements to try and expedite them, thank you. Tim)
These hooks are perfect for all kinds of different uses, and can be easily installed wherever you need to hang things! they work well for hanging your hat and coat, or a place to hang your keys or your purse, or even an umbrella!
This hook measures 7" tall by 5" deep by 3" wide, but since these are custom made, be sure and let me know if you'd like the dimensions changed in any way.
Hand forged from steel, these are meant to last, and can hold a surprising amount of weight, I always strive to design my hooks to maximize strength while maintaining a lighter, and more airy style, so I think you will find these are much heavier duty than they appear, this particular design will easily accommodate over 100 pounds of weight!
All of my items are hand forged by me when you order them, so it will take me 1 to 2 weeks to get your order shipped out, and since each item is custom made after you place the order, be sure to let me know if there are any customizations or changes you want included with your items when you place your order.
Please note that since each item is hand forged from scratch, the appearance may vary from piece to piece.
All of my hooks are made from low carbon steel, which has the possibility of rusting, but I have a couple of different finish options in order to protect your items for years of use. The traditional blacksmiths finish is to apply a layer of beeswax on the metal when it's still hot which creates a tough water resistant matte finish that will work very well on all indoor items, or in protected outdoor areas with care. However for higher moisture environments and for direct sun outdoor exposure, I can apply a heavy duty outdoor polyurethane coating, which is much more rust resistant.
Remember though, that any finish is going to wear off eventually, so if you do start noticing rust developing then you can buff it out with steel wool or a wire brush, and then apply a paste wax to renew the finish. And be sure to let me know if you have any questions or concerns about the finish of your hooks, I'm always glad to answer any questions you have.
