If starting a Slow Stitch project seems to be a bit of a commitment, I have a solution.

Here is a beginning project in white fabrics and lace with a minimum of stitching and a few buttons.

In the first picture you see the fabrics laid out and in the following you will see how my project progressed. The last picture is of another one I made and is an example of what you can make with different fabrics and lace.

First is the background fabric which is cream fabric. I layer fabric and lace pieces to that background and change them around until I like the arrangement. I pin them or use a tiny bit of fabric glue and then begin to stitch it all down. I will include some variegated perle cotton and a couple others for you to begin to stitch. As you look at the pictures you can see how I progressed with the stitching. You can do a little or a lot of different stitches. The last pictures show a close up of some of the stitching. Your instruction sheet and stitch sheet will give you ideas.

After you have finished stitching you can add the buttons wherever you like. You can also add other embellishments that you might have.

The finished piece can be a piece of art for you or you could add a backing and make a small quilt or you could make another piece and make a zipper pouch.
