Hosta Plant: Green Plantain Lily with Purple Flowers (Bare Root)

This listing is a preorder; plants will start shipping in May or sooner if weather permits. These Hosta eyes are live plants that ship bare root. They have lovely bright green leaves and the plantain lily has light purple flowers that are shaped like bells. The perennial easy to grow so its great for beginner.

These plants grow hardy and quickly. They are drought resistant and work well in sun and shade. They are incredibly low maintenance and guarantee a great show of color every summer.

You will not receive the entire plant in the picture; this is a mature hosta plant, but your starter hosta sections will come from this plant and mature to that size and larger in 1-4 years. You will receive hosta eyes similar to what you see in the last 3 pictures. They will be bare root and trimmed as described.

These plants will be shipped with the roots packed in damp paper towels and wrapped in a plastic bag or container. Many of the leaves and stems will be trimmed short. The remaining leaves will be curved down and tucked in to minimize damage. Leaves/stems may break or turn yellow or brown during shipping. Trim these before planting and new leaves will grow in 3-6 weeks.
