I got this fabric with the intention of fixing up my cats scratching trees. It's soft with a bit of stretch. It also came very neatly packaged. It isn't a dense fluff. If you smoosh it around, you can see the knit backing just a bit up close. So be aware of that if it matters for your project. Overall, it's exactly as pictured and met my expectations
