Sizes are measured with a precise digital caliper (except for very large items). Each dimension is measured at the widest points if possible, otherwise it's measured at the middle points. There are some exceptions. For example, fossilized megalodon shark teeth or shark teeth have a specific way of measuring.

Please remember that natural crystals almost always have imperfections from Mother Nature. They are beautiful the way they are. Please don't hold us responsible for their natural flaws. As for polished stones, most of them aren't "perfect" either. The reason for this is that many stones are heterogeneous. They have other mineral inclusions, veils, bubbles - all these create small cavities/crevices when the stone is being cut/polished. Also, small chips/nicks that are visible under the microscope or on enlarged photos are acceptable for polished stones. It's preferable to leave them vs cutting the crystal. Please ask questions if you have them before making your purchase.

The way the photos look depends a lot on the background color and the light: natural or not, how bright, distance and angle of the light source. For the slabs, it also matters if the slab was wet or dry when photographed. Please read the description carefully. Also colors look different on various electronic devices.

Insurance and Shipping Charges

Once your package has been accepted by the mail service, the mail service becomes responsible for its delivery. We have no control over deliveries. You are provided the tracking number when your order is shipped, so please contact the mail service for any questions. Let us know if you'd like to purchase insurance or signature confirmation for your order before you place it. Orders are not automatically insured. Most items are shipped by USPS. If you'd like to use a different service, you'll have to tell us and you may have to pay extra for it. For International and upgraded shipping: In case of overestimated shipping charges, that sometimes happen for orders of more than one item, a partial refund will be issued on the day of shipping.
