Shading is an inherent characteristic of all plush /cut-pile runner rugs and IS NOT
CONSIDERED A MANUFACTURING DEFECT.
Pile crush occurs when furniture or any heavy object on a runner rug for an extended period. In majority of the cases, pile crush can be fixed by rubbing the area with a hand brush or moistening the area with a steamer.
Sprouting is normal and will not be considered as defect since some loops, over time, may come loose and cutting the loop level with the surface of the pile fixes the issue easily.

To flatten and remove, if any, temporary creases, wrinkles or bumps due to being tightly packed up and shipped out, turn your runner rug face down, reverse roll it and allow time for the creases to disappear.
Alternatively, flatten your rug, you could use heavy books, upturned furniture, or mattresses to push back on the fibers
