Are your furniture pieces made from solid wood?

Yes. All MILAAU furniture is crafted primarily from carefully selected solid hardwood — most often oak and American walnut. All structural elements — including tabletops, legs, frames, cabinet bodies, doors, shelves, drawer boxes, and cabinet backs — are crafted entirely from solid wood, providing exceptional strength, stability, and longevity. Drawer bottoms are made from high-quality hardwood plywood, a traditional solution in fine furniture making that ensures smooth operation and long-term durability. We never use MDF, particle board, or artificial substitutes — only real, honest materials.

Custom and personalised orders

All MILAAU furniture is made to order, and we offer custom sizes, finishes, and structural adjustments. We can also create entirely custom pieces based on your individual needs — including original designs developed from scratch. This allows us to create furniture that fits your space, proportions, and aesthetic perfectly. Please send us a message to discuss your idea — we will be happy to work with you.

What is the production time?

Production time varies depending on the model and our current workshop schedule. Smaller pieces are typically completed within 2–4 weeks, while larger furniture — including dining tables — usually requires 4–10 weeks, as each piece is handcrafted individually. Estimated production time is shown in each product listing. For a precise timeframe based on our current schedule, you are welcome to contact us directly. Shipping time is additional and typically takes 3–10 business days, depending on your location.

How does delivery work for large furniture?

Large furniture pieces are shipped securely on a pallet and, in most cases, protected inside a custom wooden crate to ensure maximum safety during transport. We work with reliable transport companies to ensure safe and dependable delivery. Standard pallet delivery includes transport to your building entrance, and the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a convenient delivery time. The protective wooden crate can be easily opened using a standard screwdriver or a cordless screwdriver for faster and more convenient unpacking. All shipments are fully insured for your peace of mind. Delivery with carrying inside or full assembly can be arranged on request — please contact us for a custom quote.

How is the furniture finished and how should it be maintained?

All MILAAU furniture is finished with high-quality natural hardwax oil. This finish is safe for food contact and provides reliable protection against stains and moisture, while preserving the natural appearance and feel of solid wood. For everyday care, the surface can be cleaned with a damp cloth or a mild cleaner suitable for oiled wood. To maintain full protection, we recommend refreshing the oil layer on tabletops and frequently used surfaces approximately once a year. This is a simple process that takes only a short time. Detailed care instructions and recommended products are provided after purchase.

Does the furniture require assembly?

Dining tables are delivered in parts for safe transport. Assembly is simple and intuitive, typically taking about 10–15 minutes. Cabinets and chests of drawers are delivered with the legs detached. Simply attaching the legs completes the piece. Coffee tables, depending on the model, arrive either fully assembled or with the legs detached. All necessary screws and hardware are included.

What happens if my order is damaged during delivery?

We take great care to ensure each piece is securely packaged. Damage during delivery is very rare. If your order arrives with visible damage, please take a few photos and inform the driver so a damage report can be completed. Then simply send the photos to us. We will take care of the rest. If necessary, we will produce and deliver a new piece. If only a specific part is affected, we will send a replacement to restore the furniture to its original condition.

My Girlfriend and I bought this table and we are 100% happy with it. Both the quality of the wood, the handcraft and also the way it was packed and shipped were superb! The pieces of wood are clearly well choosen as well as which sides to use as top and bottom. Clearly done by a person with eye for detail and quality. Thank you very much!

I spent ages looking for a beautifully designed and functional oak table and then found this one on Etsy. I was nervous about spending that much money on a product I couldn't see 'in the flesh' but Miron was so responsive and helpful - even with disasters from FedEx/TNT misplacing one of the three shipment packages - that I'd have no hesitation in buying from him again in the future. The table is beautiful and so well made. It was packaged extremely well and the instructions for the little bit of assembly were brilliant. We are delighted.

We searched for a long time and then discovered this fantastic round, extendable table (120 cm). The craftsmanship is perfect, the wood is beautiful, and everything is of very high quality. Several questions we had with Milan were answered promptly and professionally. The delivery notification and information about the shipping company and their delivery date worked perfectly. We received detailed assembly instructions and the individual parts were very securely packaged. Thanks to all the precise instructions, assembly went smoothly. We are very satisfied and happy with this new purchase.
