This amazing evening gown is made from a stunning combination of fabrics -- a multicolored polka dot burnout velvet, a luxurious black cotton velvet, and black silk satin. Not only is this dress made from scrumptious fabrics, but the design is wonderful. This dress has a high round neck at the front and a very low V-shaped neckline at the back. The sleeves are long and full with wide black silk satin cuffs accented with four matching black silk satin fabric covered buttons on each. The cuffs close with buttons and matching black silk satin loops. The waist of the dress has a wide band of matching black silk satin that has been top-stitched with many tiny parallel lines of thread, almost like quilting. See photos. There is one snap at the center back to keep the back from gaping open. There is a side slit opening on the left side of the dress, under the arm at waist level, that closes with four very large and very substantial hook and eyes. The skirt of the dress is made from a heavy black cotton velvet fabric. The back of the skirt has a 11-1/2" slit at the bottom center. The entire dress is lined with a sheer black fabric. The maker's tag has been removed so I can't tell you who made it, but I can tell you that the design, fabrics, and construction are superb--designer quality. The size tag is in the dress; it is a U. S. size 10. The fabric care is dry clean only. NOTE: My mannequin is really small. This dress will look better on a real person.
