UPDATE 07.04.2021: The Plant Diaries' Propagation Station is thrilled to announce more Cebu Blues are ready for travel! We really want our customers to enjoy robust, full plants. So while the trend in the plant industry appears to be selling cuttings or one rooted stem (and calling them 'plants'), we're doing our best to buck that trend! That's why each 3.5" pot of Cebu Blue contains multiple plants/rooted points (rather than one 'strand').

WHO? Well, this guy has been making quite a name for himself that past 2-3 years. Cebu Blue, or Epipremnum pinnatum, is an especially special plant because it's essentially two houseplants in one! During Cebu Blue's juvenile years, the leaves are elongated, solid, and a really interesting blue-green/blue-silver; at this period in time, Cebu blue is terrestrial. And at maturity the plant turns epiphytic and the leaves fenestrate, or pinnatifid, almost to the center rib/vein to give the plant an entirely different look. (Often mistaken for Philodendron, a common misnomer for Epipremnum pinnatum is Blue Philodendron.) Cebu Blue is beloved by many and, best of all, this houseplant is easy to care for, making him a great gift for gardeners of all levels (including you!).

WHAT? You will receive:
• One (1) healthy juvenile plant (not a cutting) with multiple rooted plants/rooted points
• Quality potting medium in a 3.5" plastic nursery pot
• Healthy Plant Guarantee**

NOTE: The plants you in the photographs* include a few of the actual plants being sold (some photographs are "representative plants"). Because we are continually propagating Cebu Blue, we often add some new rooted plants into existing 3.5" pots before shipping them out. Why? Because Cebu Blue are quickly becoming The Plant Diaries' signature plant and it's our intent to sell plants that are actual plants so we ensure each and every plant lives up to our stellar reputation. We consider the Cebu Blue being sold to be JUVENILE plants, which means their root systems are not yet fully established but the roots are more mature (longer, stronger, fuller, etc.) than rooting cuttings. These young Cebu Blues, with the proper care, will quickly grow into a full, robust vining plant you'll be proud to show-off on your mantle or atop your favorite bookshelf (Cebu Blue don't require much light; in fact, these plants thrive in semi-shaded locations!)

WHERE? Native to rainforests, Epipremnum pinnatum prefer filtered, or partially shaded, light. It can tolerate low light but thrives in brighter locations. These houseplants do not require high humidity although an occasional misting will be appreciated.

HOW? An organic-rich, quality potting soil is perfect for this houseplant. And while many online publications suggest Cebu Blue require moist soil, in our experience, we've found this houseplant to prosper when watering when the top one inch of the soil is dry. As always when watering, water thoroughly and remove excess, or standing, water from the saucer.

WHY? Do we really need a reason to buy more plants? No, we didn't think so either. But just in case: You should purchase your next new houseplant from The Plant Diaries because. . .
. . . we curate our plant selections just for your collections.
. . . you can never, ever (ever!) have too many plants.
. . . together, through the garden we grow.

**HEALTHY PLANT GUARANTEE
Because shipping & handling is out of our control and because weather is unpredictable, to be valid the Live Plant Arrival Guarantee requires that the:
– Buyer selects USPS Priority shipping (First Class shipping is not guaranteed);
– Box is accepted on the first attempted postal delivery; and
– Plant is unboxed within 24 hours of receipt (we recommend unboxing immediately).

If your plant arrives in subpar condition, take pictures of the plant(s) from different angles as well as the box if it's dented, broken, smashed, or marred within 24 hours of receipt of package. Send us an email that describes what's wrong with the plant and why you are either unhappy or worried. (And don't forget to attach the photographs!) If purchasing plants in weather below 40 degrees, a heat pack is required to be eligible for the live plant guarantee. The Plant Diaries offers heat packs for sale; they are listed during the cooler months, but if you'd like one now, we do stock them year-round.

SHIPPING POLICIES
We ship USPS Priority and First Class on Mondays and Tuesdays (some Wednesdays, weather permitting). We strongly recommend Priority Mail but we recognize that First Class can be less expensive. Our Live Plant Guarantee requires Priority Mail.

A tracking number is sent to you as soon as it is generated. It is your responsibility to track your package. If shipped to temperatures below 40 degrees or above 90, be sure to immediately bring it indoors. Extreme temperatures can quickly kill plant. The Plant Diaries is happy to hold on to your plant until weather changes or we can have the package held at the post office if you contact us.

Prior to sending plants they are thoroughly checked for viruses, insect infestations, and fungal disease, shipping only healthy, happy, established plants and succulents! However, we recommend treating your new arrival(s) with an antifungal spray as well as an insecticide prior to introducing him to your existing plant family. (‘Better safe than sorry’ is a great mantra to adopt!)

Plants are living things and travel can be challenging even when meticulously packaged. Leaves may break or fall and plants may droop or look somewhat pale when they arrive but what's most important is a healthy root system (unless clearly stated otherwise, all plants are plants, not cuttings).
