What kind of paint is this?

Our Chalk-Style All-In-One Paint is a clay based formula that has more amazing coverage and adhesion than traditional chalk-based paints you might be used to. It still has the same beautiful, matte finish that you love, but it has a built-in primer and top coat so it requires less prep work and it's more durable. BONUS: if you love rustic or shabby chic furniture, it distresses beautifully as well!

Are your paints & wax safe?

Yes, it is one of the safest furniture paints on the market today! It is eco-friendly and doesn’t contain, toxins, or other hazardous ingredients. So this is a big plus for your health and the environment. Our paint is certified ultra low VOC! Our furniture wax contains beeswax and other natural waxes and oils. It does NOT contain any mineral solvents and it is not flammable.

How much paint do I need for a project?

Depends on the size of the project, and the effect you're going for. Our rule of thumb: 4 oz sample (15 sq ft) - small stool or chair 16 oz pint (60 sq ft) - dresser or a couple nightstands 32 oz quart (120 sq ft) - multiple projects, cabinets & hutches

Do I need to wax after painting?

The paint will dry to a very matte finish that is pretty durable on its own. However, if you're looking for added protection and a softer feel, consider wax, Hemp Oil, or our top coats like Clear Coat & Tough Coat. Wax or Hemp Oil - suitable for a polished feel and subtle sheen. (Low protection, needs yearly application on well-worn pieces) Clear Coat - provides moderate protection and a satin sheen. Tough Coat - our strongest topcoat perfect for kitchen cabinets, table tops, and outdoor pieces. Dries to a satin sheen.

Can I change my order?

We aim to pack and ship every order as quickly as we possibly can, so if you need to make any changes we can only accommodate you if your order hasn’t been processed yet. Please, email or call us and mention your order number. We can't guarantee we will be able to make changes, but we will do our best to catch it.

Do you accept returns?

We review potential returns on a case-by-case basis. Please get in touch via email: support@countrychicpaint.com Please note that we do not accept returns when you are unhappy with the color choice you made. As everyone's screens present colors differently, we cannot guarantee our paint colors to match your monitor's colors. We recommend ordering one of our color cards to see a colors true-likeness.
