Balusters, Architectural Salvage, Hand Carved Spiral Barley Twist, Re-Purpose as Table Legs

I rescued this set of 4 old painted balusters and they have a wonderful spiral barley twist pattern with a lovely and elegant taper. Some cracking, lots of dings and dents, I think these are around 100 years old. Hand turned on a lathe, each one has subtle variations that show the hand turning in a wood shop. All of the balusters are in good condition and have sufficient integrity and strength to be used as table legs or in whatever functional re-purposing you envision. I think they are attractive and artistic just as they are, but I can also imagine them being used as furniture or table legs. Because these were mounted as stairway balusters, the balusters are very slightly different lengths, but if you trim the angled ends on all four balusters you can achieve a squared-off length of 22 1/2". The balusters are about 1 3/4" square and the set of 4 weighs almost 5 pounds. In good condition.
