Downloading digital files

You can download the files via your account page: You - Purchases and Reviews - Download Files. After the transaction is completed the link to the digital files will be sent to your email together with the invoice. Click the link and it will redirect you to the page with the downloads. You will need a PDF Reader (ex: Adobe Reader) to open and view the digital files.

#1 Tracing on light-coloured, thin fabric

1. Iron the fabric and stretch it out in the embroidery hoop. 2. Place the hoop, with the fabric side down, on top of the template. You will be able to see the template through the fabric. 3. Use a window, phone flashlight or a lightbox to see the design clearly through the fabric. 4. Trace the design onto the fabric with a removable writing utensil (water-soluble pencil or heat erasable pen). 5. Remove the fabric, flip it around in the hoop so it is fabric-side up and the tracing is done!

#2 Tracing on dark and thick fabric

You’ll need CARBON TRANSFER PAPER FOR FABRIC, pen, and sewing pins. 1. Cut out a piece of carbon tracing paper about the same size as the design. Choose a paper color that contrasts with your fabric. 2. Place the colored side of the carbon paper facing down and then pin the paper with the design on top. 3. Go over the lines with a pen. The pressure will transfer the colored carbon onto the fabric. 4. Ready to stitch! The lines may fade with handling so touch up any details with a removable writing utensil.

#3 Printing the pattern on a water-soluble stabilizer

1. Print the pattern and stick it to the fabric – if the stabilizer is not a sticker, secure it with sewing pins or sew the outline using Running stitch. 2. After the stitching, place the embroidered design in tepid water and gently rub the stabilizer away. If any stiffness remains, repeat the process.

If you wish to change the original PDF pattern size before printing: 1) Open the .pdf file; 2) Go to "File" -> "Print" -> "Paper Sizing and Handling" -> "Custom Scale" - Change the %; 3) You will see the approximate size of the pattern in the preview window. In case you wish to print out the pattern in the original size, make sure to mark "Actual Size" in "Paper Sizing and Handling";

I use midweight linen or linen/ cotton blend fabric for MoodyGreen designs, but cotton will also do nicely. If using lightweight fabric, consider using two layers, it will help to keep the fabric in the hoop tight and will hide any see-through stitches. Avoid stretchy fabrics to achieve the best result and to keep the design in the correct shape/ form.

Tracking information is available for all physical orders. Please note that occasionally mail takes longer to arrive due to circumstances outside of my control.
