Your item will come washed, pressed where appropriate, and wrapped in recyclable paper packaging. If the item is a gift, I'm happy to include a message to the recipient. Please contact me with details of the message you'd like included.

Sizes have changed over the years, so the sizes shown on garment tags pictured in item listings may not represent the modern size equivalent. I measure every garment carefully and provide measurements for each listing as well as an estimate of the modern size (I use the Target Australia womenswear size charts as a reference, in case you'd like to see more details of the estimated sizes). Please check measurements to make sure your garment will fit just right. If you have any questions about a specific piece, please get in touch and I'll do my best to help.

Vintage pieces are often many decades old. Their fabrics, buttons and seams can be delicate, and items may show signs of gentle wear. I care for items in my store as best I can based on garment tags & researching vintage fabric care. As needed, I'll do hand-sewing or mending on fraying, holes, seams & buttons. Before listing, I gently handwash, fresh air/sunshine dry, and press all garments. Before I ship, I do the same so they're fresh & wearable on arrival. Where items recommend dry clean only, I do this prior to listing only, and will air (and gently press if appropriate) these garments prior to shipping. Keep your vintage gems happy by following the garment tag advice. If in doubt, handwash only or see your local dry cleaner!

Can I have an item express posted?

Absolutely. When you purchase an item, you can select standard free shipping (Australia Post standard parcel post), or choose the Express Post option for an additional $5.00. If you're in a super duper hurry, please let me know via a note with your order. I'll do my very best to ship to you that same day, which may mean I'll have to to forego my usual process of freshly laundering items prior to sending. I'll contact you to ask about this first, of course.

This vibrant red 80s jacket is an eye-catching colour and is cut with a bit of flair.

It has a straight cut accentuated with gentle ruching detail at the front hip by the lowest button and on the shoulders. The large black buttons are a dramatic matte black, and the button loops make for unique look. The sleeves are slightly tapered and come to wrist length. The fabric is a lightweight, slightly woven textured polyester, with no stretch. It's a mid-season style jacket, light enough for indoor wear.

It’ll definitely add a little pop of colour to your vintage wardrobe, and will look excellent paired with black or other bright block colours. Style it with a blouse or knit and some black jeans, or pop it on top of a fun patterned dress.

Brand: vintage Stitches Plus Gold Label (Australian made)

Condition: It's in great vintage condition. Original buttons, seams & hems all intact . no holes, tears, pulls or stains found on garment.
One flaw is that its missing its original shoulder pads. The velcro strips for attaching them are there, but the pads aren't. If you're really keen to give this the 80s power shoulder silhouette, let me know via message with your order; I'm likely to have some extras floating about amongst my vintage alterations supply (but I can't guarantee an exact colour match).

Size & fit: Tagged as vintage size 10, but garment tag measurements below correlate best to a modern AU Size 8.
