The pieces were not in as great of condition as I expected. The gold on the bases is worn. These fragile items were shipped in a small box with no bubble wrap or packing peanuts. I'm surprised that they weren't damaged when I received them!

they were packaged in foam wrap which is as good if not better than bubble wrap or peanuts. I happen to get the packing wrap from work for free so I am always generous with it. also if what you say is true there is no possible way these fragile and thin glass, glasses would have survived. And they were packed in a box that allowed for no movement, room for plenty of cushion and if you noticed it was a thick cardboard. to address condition: did you look at the photos? because as soon as the photos were taken these glasses were placed in a china cabinet due to the delicate nature.and not touched. I appreciate your purchase and your four stars but it is a shame that you stated something that is not only untrue but impossible.
