I have long been fascinated by Cabinets of Curiosities. There is just something about those shelves of meaningful odd bits that fascinate me. The term cabinet originally described a room (Imagine!) rather than a piece of furniture, containing objects of natural history (sometimes faked), geology, ethnography, archaeology, religious or historical relics, works of art (including cabinet paintings), and antiquities. This bracelet pays homage to those unique-to-the-individual collections that date back as far as the 16th century. The bracelet contains objects representing physical, mental, and emotional collections.

One of the biggest, boldest, most loaded bracelets in my collection, it boasts over 60 different charms, beads, and embellishments. These include, at center, a locket with a removable, readable mystery tale, providing both physical and mental delight. In addition you’ll find two glass skulls, yin yang ring, acrylic black dog, mourning button, clock, gears, raven, acrylic skulls, Peruvian bone beads, pewter snake, scrabble tile, religious medal, key, birds, emotion fish (“patience,“ “self control“), and more. Beads include modern, vintage, and antique, in stone, ceramic, check glass, India glass, carved bone, and acrylic.

It measures approximately 8 inches and is rolo chain with a toggle clasp.

Plastic charms, though coated with four layers of acrylic sealer are not waterproof, and because they are plastic should not be exposed to heat, steam, fire or flame. Do not wear in the bath, sauna, or when involved in sports.
