Gold Plated and Gold Filled?

All my jewelry comes from high-quality materials. I take pride in the fact that our jewelry is nickel and lead-free making it hypoallergenic to your skin! On average, gold-plated jewelry can last about two years before the gold plating begins to tarnish and wear down. However, the length of time can be much shorter or longer depending on whether or not you decide to properly maintain your jewelry collection. On the other hand, most high-quality gold-filled pieces have the same appearance as high-carat gold, and gold-filled items, even with daily wear, can last 10 to 30 years though the layer of gold will eventually wear off exposing the metal underneath.
