In order to help with your plague doctor costume we have recreated the winged hourglass that sits atop the staff represented in the engraving by Paul Fürst done in 1656. This symbol is centuries old, and represents the idea that time is fleeting. Tempus Fugit.

This handmade and hand finished topper is available in gold stained to give it an aged look. The hardwood staff is stained black, comes fully assembled and measures around 24" long once assembled. The topper measures 6" wide and 2¼" high. The perfect accessory to your plague doctor costume!

CARING FOR YOUR MASK
The leather masks are quite durable. When storing them, keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. The worst enemy is water, as the masks will soften and distort when wet, so don't wear them in the rain, in the pool, or in the shower. Heat will dry them out and make the leather crack. No regular maintenance is required. If they become soiled, wipe with a soft cloth.

Item did not look as expected. 3D print lines were very obvious instead of smoothed out like the example pics. I did ask it to be in black which may have been why, but I did not realize this would effect the final look.
